1. Wildwise – Stories and Canoes! - Deep Story and the Wild Earth
Date:
Sept 26th – 28th

Myth, Wilderness and the Road Back to Belonging.

Join mythologist, storyteller, author and award-winning rites-of-passage guide Martin Shaw in exploring the relationship between story and wild landscape. For thousands of years humans have been nourished by the movement of a Hawk, the curling of a river…We will be taking our place at this archaic fireside and asking 'How do we cultivate this nourishment in the 21st century?’ We will work with 2 stories over the weekend, Celtic and Siberian, plus enjoying a ribald treasure chest of poetry eg. Mirabai, W.B. Yeats. 'Shaw presides over an astonishing flow of language.' Robert Bly, author of 'Iron John'.
